Hi all,

I'm in the market for a new scope, I plan on mounting it on an HS Precision tactical rifle, chambered in .308 w/ 24" bbl. I want a scope with high power, 4x magnification range, superior optical quality and reliability. Prefer a 56mm objective with side focus, target turrets. I would really like to have an illuminated reticle, prefer mildots but that's not *really* important. Price does not matter, large size and weight is fine. I have narrowed my choices down to the following three models (but am open to suggestions):

Swarovski PV-S 6-24x50mm (no illuminated reticle)
Zeiss VM/V 6-24x56mm (is this the new definition of perfection?)
Nightforce 5.5-22x56mm (illuminated reticle has only one brightness level)

Swarovski looks nice, but has no illuminated reticle... and no side parallax adjustment. The new Zeiss VM/V model may be the best thing ever, but it's new and NO ONE has one, I'd die for chance to look through one of these. Nightforce should be good, but why don't they use a one piece tube? Won't that cause a great loss in tube strength?

Does anyone in the LA area have some of these models that I could look through? Meet up at the Angeles Shooting Ranges?

Thanks in advance for any help.
