innerpiece - looks like you and I have the same taste in guns. Nice pics

I wear a suit to work every day. I take my jacket off during the day. I carry an Airweight Bodyguard with Barami hip grips, a Tyler T and a piece of bicycle tubing over the center of the gris, and LSWCHP +P's. I take it off in the office and put it on when I go out side. At night I wear a 442 with the small Crimson Trace grips in a Blackhawk Leather Speed Classic. Same load.

All comfortable and easy to get to and concealable. Ammo is cheap to practice with. I play with autos but trust in revos.

It's been said very well already, but since I get a vote:

* A S&W 442/642 with the small (205) laser grips is the best all-around carry solution you can have. This is for pocket carry. You said you'll carry around your waist, but the possibility of pocket carry will expand your options greatly.

For belt carry and .357 magnum, I think the SP-101 is a better choice than the model 60. You can get a fuller grip, and the gun is a bit larger with more heft.

Or, you can get the 642 with 305 grips, which give you a fuller grip and more recoil absorption, for belt carry. You'll also have the small boot grips, which give you the option of easy pocket carry with the same gun.

That's my year round carry. Nothing fancy, just my trusty old M36. I know there are a lot of lighter and more corrosion resistant choices but I just love the old girl.

Apologies for the cell phone pic.

MiGalley;

Members preach endlessly on choosing the firearm that fits the individual - and you did just that! I'd recommend you get at least two additional mags while you wait on the holster (now there's an entirely different game to play - which will be the "perfect" holster, eh?) - convenient reloads speed up range fun!

Absolutely, a range report - and you better post pics!

(BTW, I'm inseperable from my S&W 649 for year-round carry. . . :neener: )

lynn great pic of your old beastie. Looks like its been well loved for years :)

Out of the guns you were originally looking at I'd prefer the 3" M64 for OWB only. Can't beat those 3" K-frames for controllability, handling, and all around use. Very concealable and light enough as well.

For occasional pocket use I think you would have been OK with the M60. I have a steel Taurus 85CH which is barely light enough for pocket carry. For regular pocket carry you need aluminum. I love my S&W 442 for that role (when in a state where it is legal for me to do so).

As for what you actually picked, I think the S&W CS series are great guns. Not that common, and that is a shame. I wouldn't mind a CS9 myself eventually.

I echo what has already been stated, good to have a small concealable auto, but you'll probably also add a small snub eventually (there are times one is better than the other). For such needs (and I don't even live in a CCW state so carry is pretty rare for me- limited to when visiting PA mostly) I have the previously mentioned Taurus 85 and S&W 442, a S&W 65LS (3" .357mag K-frame), a Bersa Thunder in .380 and a Taurus PT140 Milennium Pro. I'll probably be trading the Bersa for a Kahr before long (I'd like the single stack, very thin, K9 for IWB tucked use and a small and light PM9 for pocket use). It is great to have something for every possible niche need/use you may want (and with similar MOA as well).
