Help please - Lyman Pro 500

Just bought this scale for a double checker scale. The scale came with base, weight bar, pan holder and pan.

Directions say set both poise to 0. I did. Says screw the level foot until the scale zeros. I cannot. There isn't enough room.
I have a level to check the bench. The bench is perfectly level. It is a simple process and simple scale. What am I doing wrong?

Do you have the scale fully assembled? Can you post a pic?

Make sure your bearings are clean. There may be something in there that is acting against you.

Resolved. The pan with the weighted bottom had fallen behind a book on my desk. When I use that along with the pan it levels fine. I was not using all the parts.

Amazing what a nights sleep will do.

Thanks for the help. Yeah. We have a new born in the house. Two weeks old.
I haven't been sleeping. I played hooky from work today to rest. I was reading a book by the window. Just now woke up 4 1/2 hours later. Didn't even know I had fallen asleep.
