RCBS 10-10 scale and Level

Well thanks to all you it is level again, couldn't believe how little weight it took, tried bb's, washers, a stainless steel pin from the tumbler and finally took a stainless 6/32 lock washer and cut it into thirds and one third was perfect, now all I have to do is wait on the weight set arriving tomorrow to check all the weighted graduations. Yea!

Thanks you all

Although I don't disagree with any of the replies....I will mention the last time I put in a new work table in the man cave, I had to shim the feet to level it out. May be, just maybe someone bumped your work bench and the shims have moved or you now need shims and didn't when you first put in your table. Same could happen to a table top too. Then again, there could be a hungry beaver in your work area and he likes your fresh wood table legs. It's worth checking out.

I know what you mean, couple months ago I turned the work bench top around and reskinned the top surface, I leveled it then and it is within the bubble, not perfect but good enough I quit shimming it. First thing I checked was the top for level and it is good, I am thinking after all the replies and help I sent the wrong scale pan to Texas with my son, I will wait till he calls with the next reloading question or ask for supplies and see which one I sent with him.

There is lead shot in the pan holder that can be adjusted by adding or removing the shot. I had to add a #8 shot to mine to get it to zero. I then verified with my check weights. I bought it used and it's possible one of the shots got out somehow.

X2............Easiest way to recalibrate a balance beam scale.........Been there.......Done that.

I have a 10-10 scale that I have been using for many years. If I would have had your problem the 1st thing I would have done was to remove the balance beam from the scale and sit it back on again. Sometimes the magnet that slows the swinging down will grab onto the base of the scale and restrict the movement. To check my scale I use a 50 grain 22 caliber bullet that I selected when the scale was new and it still weighs 50 grains.

Pretty much the same. Weighted four Sierra GK 168gr match bullets, kept the one that came out at exactly 168gr. Then a couple of dimes, kept the one that is 35.0gr exact.
Been working for a looong time that way. [if even needed].
