So I have CFE Pistol , 230gr plated projectiles,a bunch of brass, and a hungry Glock 21...
I started with 5.6 then 5.8gr of CFE Pistol, both shot low, I have 10 ct 6.0gr CFE under the 230's...

According to data from LOADDATA they show 6.2gr being max load for a 230gr LRN. You're shooting plated so I would assume 6.2 would be good for you if not even a couple of tenths higher. For what it's worth they list a FMJ 230gr loaded to 6.8gr @ 934fps. All that said I think you'll be ok with 6.0..........but you never did finish your question either.

I had good luck with 5.4 or 5.6 under 230 hi-tek coated lrn. I couldn't tell much difference in accuracy, both better than my shooting. I didn't care much for any more powder as the little XDS starts getting painful.

Try the 5.4 start load. If it cycles, you're good, and it may bring the POI up a tad with the lower MV. Might even be able to go a tad lower, if you're careful about a squib, and willing to use a lighter recoil spring (if made for Glocks). What is it shooting lower than? Factory loads?
