A fellow I work with gave me a rifle yesterday, and I am not too familiar with military rifles, so I am hoping my family here at THR can help me a bit. This fellow's wife holds estate sales, and she comes across firearms from time to time. They usually sell them for next to nothing and my co worker brought in a rifle and gave it to me. ACCORDING TO MY CO WORKER- and I have nothing to verify this with, this is a WW2 bring home souvenir that has been sitting in a corner. Ask me about pistols or especially knives, and I have a chance- but I honestly have very little knowledge of rifles, let alone military. first- the wood and age of the wood seems appropriate. I have found a few markings on the rifle. Across the top, it is stamped BUDAPEST on the top, and that is the most I can tell. This has the original leather sling, and I apologize for the poor quality of the pictures.
