help with schmidt & bender turrets.

Hello can anybody tell me tell what letter is left and what letter is right and which means up and down on a schmidt &bender scope. Regards. Wj.

can you be a bit more specific?

my S&B PMII has rather obvious markings; "L" and "R" for example

yes sorry about that most scopes have l for left r for right on windage. Up for up and down for down on elavation . My schmidt has the elavation spelt in german and i was trying to work out what way is up and what is down. Regards .

well, i don't speak german, but if you type the letters you see in here, i'm sure someone could help.

alternately, you could look through it and spin the knobs. you will see the reticle move.

Usually German scopes and sights are marked as follows,

bei Hochschuß (H) - when shooting high

bei Tiefschuß (T) - when shooting low.

Links is left and rechts is right, if it is preceeded by the word bei, that translates to when.
