About a week ago, I picked up a new henry "youth" lever action in 22lr. Mainly aimed at a small plinker to sling in my jeep, and to get my young son started.
Finally got around to playing around with it. I am absolutely amazed at how smooth the action is. It cycles like it was polished and sent to a custom gunsmith then some. Wonderful action. I am comparing against my older marlin 39a, winchester 94 and a model 1894 marlin. Of course, the others are fine lever's and in different cartridge, other than the 39a. I just can't get over how smooth she is.
Is this common for Henry rifles or did I just get lucky? If it's common, I am hooked and will have to go buy myself a centerfire from them.
Kudos to Henry for sure,
Take care and have a great night.
