Just when I thought I had my handguns figured out, BAM! I have a moment and just feel the need to change it up.
Ok, here's the deal, I have a S&W mode 10-5 that I keep at home for the girls to use in an emergency, it's simple, reliable and always there and ready. I paid $300 for it and right now feel like I couldn't get rid of it.

My second handgun is my Glock 21, I'm on my third one, trading them for other .45's I thought would be better, but ultimately.....no. The Glock 21 is the handgun I shoot the most accurately and just cannot do without it.

The third is my Glock 23. I sold a pair of Glock 19s for it because the .40 is a more powerful round and felt that it wasn't more difficult to shoot than the 9mm......but it is, it kicks harder than my Glock 21, very snappy and I cannot be as accurate with it as I want to be. I was significantly better with the G19. I've tried to accept it because the size of the pistol is dang near perfect.

I've had this desire for some time for a SAA .45LC, it hasn't gone away, I've tried to satisfy it somewhat when I bought a single-six, but it just didn't cut it.

The first time I ever fired a .45LC, it was the early production color case Vaquero, I struck a 2" diameter tree branch sticking diagonally out of the water at about 40 yards away dead center, my buddy and I were both equally amazed. It didn't kick that much and felt very natural and comfortable to shoot, like you really didn't have to try to be accurate with it, it just was, kinda like my G21.

I found the new model blue .45LC Vaquero at a local store with a 5.5" barrel and it comes with an extra .45acp cylinder. So I'm thinking this may be the ticket, narrow down the calibers to two, three if I ever use the .45lc cylinder.

I will be losing the compactness of the G23 sized gun, but I'd rather have a gun I shoot good than one I'm so-so with, even if it's bigger. I know people CCW .45 sized guns such as the G21 all the time, so I'm going to have to be a little more resourceful at concealing it.

As much as I like the G19, I'd rather try and conceal a G21 than add yet another caliber I'd have to supply for.
