How does May 7th sound? Always hard to find a good date, especially trying to get as many possible, and life keeps getting in the way...............work, scooter riding, honeydoos, etc, etc.,......
New to the forum and I live in Hutch and am a memeber at Central Kanas Gun Club.
I don't own any rifles but I do a lot shooting with specialty handguns and enjoy shooting them from 100 yards to 1000 yards.
Also shoot semi-auto handguns a revolvers. But the Remington XP-100 is my preferred hunting handgun hence my user name xphunter.
If any of use specialty handguns I would also like to hear from you.
Just rememebered that it is Mother's Day weekend and I leave on the 11th for National Guard duty for three weeks. SWMBO will not let me go anywhere that weekend. I won't have a free weekend until after Memorial Day as it looks right now.
I shoot mainly pistols. I sometime shoot skeet also but thats about it. I am not a member there but I have a good friend who is so I go with him when the opportunity arises. I go to cheney alot. Can't wait until it gets nicer...
Shawn
Shawn,
Do you have any of the of the specialty handguns? TC's, Savage Strikers, XP-100's,etc..?
I shoot regular handguns, but I really like the specialty handguns.
Going to be doing a lot of shooting here in the next two months as I am getting ready for a handgun hunting seminar that is just outside of Pueblo, CO May 26-28. Steel targets at unknown distances from field positions.
I suppose i could do it after the thirtieth.
I have several burger burns for graduation parties at the end of may, I sorta need to be there since I'm supplying the cooker and the cooking.
Keyhole, am I correct in assuming this will be at your place?
Well I'm offering the place. I know that it's on the far end of the known universe, but hey, it's free!
Tough to find a good date for most to make it. Life, and having to work for a living kinda gets in the way.
Sounds fine by me. Maybe we could meet also in Wichita some times. Check out the Bone Creek forum, and there are weekend that there are no matches, unless ya want to shoot some of them!
What would the costs be to participate in this monthly get-together, and What day shall we have it on. Sunday is my only weekend day that I have free. I only have two handguns anyway (in 9.5 hours I will be the proud owner of another handgun. THE BRAND NEW p345 Ruger .45 model. My first Auto .45), so don't plan your get-together around my schedule. .
Keyhole, there ain't nuttin' in wichita worth shooting at! And I do need to shoot a highpower match to be allegeable for a cmp garand before they're all gone.... (stupid gunstore *%#@!!! )
OK, now that that's outa my system... Do you guys have metal plates or gongs? Is it all paper targets? What sorta fees apply? (I'm more than willing to pay @ a good range...)
Mr. Huckins, if you are out there on the same day, I'm would be willing to let you try on my M39, the same goes for the K31 but you might have to make a small "donation" to cover it's ammo .
english kanigit, I'd be more than happy to let anyone shoot my bottom feeders or wheelgun. And I'd also be happy to pitch in some money for any ammo I use. Its only fair, I know how fast this "hobby" (which is about all it can be in Kansas) can gobble up your money.
Well there would be no cost to use the range, after all, it's mine. We do not at this time have any gongs or metal targets on the rifle range, but do so for pistol. We have some hi-power matches during the year, and I think we have one coming up, I would have to check the schedule and see when it is.
