maybe somebody in the halls of power needs to look at this picture and think about just what type of people were dealing with over there.

Over THERE? We have an entire thread here, half full of insensitive hicks (principally the OP with the thread title itself), ridiculing a deformed man, who is intent on protecting himself with a firearm. For all we know, he was born that way. Talk about needing to look in the mirror.

I have no idea what his politics are, but his determination and ingenuity are worthy of my respect.

What I see when I look at that picture, all I see is a man willing to find a way to still use a gun despite the lack of hands. Anything else is conjecture and assumption. I should hope that were I in the same position, my resolve would be so firm.

The pistol grip looks like a Galil grip, and looking closely where the gas tube merges with the barrel, it looks like there may be a grenade/gas block lever like on the Yugos.
