Hello everybody, just bought a.45 carbine today I am so excited to go shoot it. So I was unpackaged it and notice that it says to not use pro mags in the 995 and 995ts but was wondering if I could use them in my 4595?

Ps. No hi point bashing in this thread.

My mom has a Hi-Point 995. She has both Hi-Point factory and ProMag aftermarket mags. They fuction flawlessly in the gun. I've never seen the notice about not using Pro-Mags in the 995. I understand there was some issue with the Last Round Hold Open and the magazine follower in the past that would void the warranty if the rifle broke while using a Pro Mag.

Here is a link to a somewhat dated thread on the Hi Point forum about the issue:

Avoid Promags if possible.
I can't say whether or not there's a specific issue with that gun, but Promags are more often than not total junk anyway.

Weaver and do not ever use the promags they will wreck your gun. Someting to do with the followers rubbing on the bolt. It will void your warentee what one there is.

I have the 4095 and at $18.00 per mag from Hi Point I don't see any problem using theirs.
