I've got an Israeli FN Hi-Power that I often carry. It's a really nice carry piece in that I really don't care too much if it gets beat up. The finish on these is a black lacquer-something, and is nothing to brag about. The stocks are hard, black plastic. 13 + 1 and a spare mag is pretty well armed.
The mag disconnect is gone, and I've purchased, but not yet installed, an extended safety(Numrich - $16). The Israelis, generally carrying with an empty chamber, I guess, don't concern themselves with using the itty-bitty Mk1 safety. Sights are three-dot, fixed, and it really, really shoots to POA with 115 gr. ball ammo.
The Israeli mports generally come with a FrontLine leather, IWB holster and two 13-round mags. One of my mags is crap, so I picked up an Italian factory (Mec-Gar?) 13 rd. It also came with a double mag carrier, also leather. Mine was manufactured in the '90s, but looks as though it went through every conflict the Israelis have had.
