Some custom guns with lighter frame than they typical N fame used in the magnum .41 where made for those who wanted to shoot the .41 mag wildcat. If you have a .41 magnum and just want a lighter load similar to the .41 spl them using a cast 215 or 210 gr bullet load in a .41 mag case and medium or fast powder and download them 60% of maximum .41 mag loads. For example the 215gr LSWC has a maximum load of 10.4 grains of Unique according to Lymann. A load of 7.8grs should deliver 979 fps according to the same source. You could simply download it to around 6.0 to 6.5 grs for a lighter load. If going to a lighter load work the load down in .1 or .2 gr increments and use a chrono. If you stick bullet then the next higher load would be your minimum.
A 215gr start load of 5.0gr of Bullseye would get you just below 800 fps which is pretty much into the "spl" range IMO.
