So,

How many other Hickok45 voyeaurs are out there? I think he's pretty awesome - a modern day John Wayne philosophy with a neat educational slant on just plain old good clean fun videos.

Personally I'd like to see his shows on TV weekly, mainly so he could get some cash for his efforts, but youtube works fine for me when I'm stateside.

He's an awesome shot with pistols at very long ranges from non-chalant standing poisitons and he even shows his misses.

I only know him through his videos and an email he answered...for those who have never heard of him here's his link.

Im a subscriber. He seems like a down to earth type of guy. And really enjoys shooting.
 
I'm a subscriber too. Love his videos and how he does his presentations. I enjoy the very eclectic mix of guns that he uses. I really like the video where he rings the 230 something yard gong multiple times with an AK from the standing offhand position. Shows that an AK will do if you will. But I'm especially envious of his range, I wish I had one just like it! :)
 
I like him. His videos are good. I can't STAND "Nutnfancy" though. that idiot loves to hear himself talk it seems. He has several short films full of useless blabber. What a waste of bandwidth.

I agree that they can be a bit long, but I can watch them, and usually enjoy them - unlike other youtube gun guys that I just can't stomach.
 
I found him when he first started, been hooked ever since. His accuracy with the sub compact pistols "no extension", shoud make everyone wo isn't, strive to be a better shot and not worry about adding stuff you don't need to your gun. He also cuts through a lot of the bunk about accuracy, "this is more accurate than that", explaining that they are all more accurate than anyone of us will ever be. He remids us that simple is usually better. No dodads, just practice.
The only difference between a $400 and a $2000.00 gun is the grouping. "unless it's broken" or the sights are off. As he states if you put them in a vise, they are all going to shoot the same other than the grouping and the distance. I think he is a real american example of what a "good man" is supposed to be.

His videos probably need to be trimmed, especially when he's reloading. A few people may not like his occasional silliness. There are people who disagree with his opinions like anyone else.

However, those of us living in locations with far greater firearms restrictions, seeing someone enjoy openly shooting and relaxing in his private range without worrying about black helicopters is a fun indulgence. :D
 
I've been subbed to him for a year or so, REALLY like his stuff. Some of his vids are a bit long, but most are reasonable. I really like his comparison vids, where he'll take a bunch of compact autos say, and shoot them, it helps you get an idea. I like the silliness sometimes, there's other gun sites on youtube, and some of them act like they run around with their war face on all the time, which I think is even sillier. It doesn't hurt that the man's a fantastic shot. Watch his Judge video, he's shooting .45LC out to ranges that most people wouldn't even try with a 6" revolver, and he's doing it with a 3'. And getting HITS! :what:
 
Imagine that, somebody with proof(videos) of their long range shooting.
Now if all the talkers on the Internet can just get some videos of these 1" groupings with handguns at 25, 50 and 100 yards up to back their claims....
 
Hickok's plain ol good stuff. Good information, good guns and good fun. His Poe's, The Raven spoof made me a beliver and I also learned from him to shoot little guns and keep the pinky relaxed and off the grip.


I posted his 642 at 80 yards on floridaconcealedcarryforum and got lots of positive replies and one negative from a guy that doesn't even live in Fl. AND the out of state guy never posted a vid of duplicate shots with a 642 at 80 yards. Swore he was better than Hickok though.
 
He's somewhat Glock-biased, but then again, so am I lol. He does try to be non-objective though and I'm sure most people can appreciate that.
 
Well, I tried to watch the video, but now Youtube wants me to have a Google account before I can view anymore Youtube videos. I guess I've watched my last video. I'm tired of jumping through hoops for goofy reasons.
 
I bought my SR9c due to his video! A great watch!

He makes me want all the guns!:cool:

You can almost see him on horseback with rifle and handgun!
