High Standard Question

I took a high standard model B apart, it was not working. Apparently the only way to repair it now is to cut off and replace the slide. This came from a high standard gun smith. My question is while looking for a replacement slide at gunbroker and gun shows I have found several but no model B. Are any of the other early slides compatible ?

Apparently the slide will have to be cut off, It looks like its going to the gun show in a bag to see what it wll bring
