Hi
I am looking for a progressive 12 Ga loader that will allow me to load AAA's and 000 buckshot (18 pellet).

I have found that most semi auto, progressive press sites on the net state that they load upto BB's.

Is there anyone out there who loads buckshot on a more than single stage machine?

Can you load roll crimped cartridges on a progressive machine??

I have 10 K worth of 1.5 oz steel shot wads that I can load into a 2¾ hulls but I have to roll crimp them to make them to size?? In these 1.5oz wads I am getting 1 5/8 of AAA lead shot with a rolled crimp using old tissue boxes to make the cardboard top covers.
I am using mostly WST and some Herco that I have left over.

If I load these wads into 3 inch hulls and star crimp them my patterns open up by approx 25-30% over 30 yards.
I cannot star crimp them in 2¾ hulls without dropping down to 1 3/8 weight.

What am I doing wrong??

The 12Ga is a Fabarm SBS with 3 inch chambers chokes and ejectors.

approx how much faster and how difficult would it be to process the cases though to the re-primed powdered and wad seated stage on a progressive and finish off the rest (inc roll crimping) on a single stage?

thanks

I use a MEC 700 to load buckshot and slugs.

I load up to the wad on the press, insert the buckshot or slug by hand, then crimp on the press.

I haven't seen a readily available press to load anything other than birdshot.
