I have seen a few threads on this comparing it to other CCW 9MM choices. To all that own it, how is it as a CCW piece? Accuracy? Ease of field stripping? I looked at the Sig 239, the Walther 99C, S&W M&P 9, Glock 26 and I am leaning toward the HK.

I bought a P2000sk .40-LEM about two months ago. This goes with my USP45 fullsize that I got last year. They're for different purposes, with the SK for carry use and the 45 as home defense, plus range use. The biggest difference is the SK's LEM trigger which negates the need for a safety lever, something to NOT need to remember in an emergency. The first shot I ever took with the SK, after firing the USP a bit, I honestly thought there was something wrong with the SK. The trigger pull is significantly longer than the USP's which isn't a LEM. But that was by comparison to the USP. It is just VERY different.

After a few hundred rounds, I'm very comfortable shooting each type on a range day. I train with the SK differently than I do with the USP. Considering the use in a worst-case scenario, I don't expect to have the time to sight as much as I would want. And, I don't shoot the SK at 25 yards as much as I do at 7 yards. Being able to point-and-shoot at the closer range is more important with the SK as a carry gun. In that light, it's extremely capable.

Fast follow-up shots on target just happen now, without using the sights to acquire the target. In fact, my brother had a heck of a time using the sights. When I suggested bringing the target in to about 7 yards and just pointing, he promptly put three rapid fire into center torso in a group about the size of a baseball! Before that, he was really unsure if he was going to be happy with the SK. Now, he's also very comfortable knowing that he can put it on target without having to think about it.

My .40SW Variant 3 (DA/SA) P2000SK is the best gun I own. Period.

Not to say I don't love my Sigs and others, but the P2000SK is the total package.

I carry a P2000sk V.3. I love this gun. With the Mepro sights , aiming is easy and quick. Accuracy is very good for such a short barrel. Concealment isn't hard with a proper holster...I use OWB. Take down is as easy as it comes, accomplished in less than 10 seconds down to the four basicparts.

I handled all of the other guns mentioned except the Walther 99C, which I couldn't find any where, and the P2000sk just "sang" in my hand. The others didn't, but that's just me. IMHO the H&K line in general are some of the best firearms available today.

I've got a 9mm P2KSK Variant III that I haven't shot yet. I've shot its sister gun at the range and loved it. Dead accurate and smooth (I prefer the 9mm for accuracy in the subcompacts myself). I handled the Walther and liked that too. Just waiting to shoot a friends before I make a decision to buy that too. I knew I couldn't go wrong with the HK though. Field stripping is cake. I took the gun home and had it appart, cleaned and put back together in minutes. I also liked where the decocker was a little better than the Walther as I am interested in the AS trigger.
