I need some advice. I have a hk uspc in a .40 and an hk usp in 9mm. Now i am going to get an hk p2000, however i can not decide to get it in a 9mm or .40. I have a uspc in a .40 and the mag's are interchangeable so i will have extra mag's from the get go. But i do like the 9mm round because it is cheaper to shoot. I can not decide and i know i do not want the .357 sig so what should i do 9mm or .40.

Go for the P2K in 9mm V3. Just a preference towards the 9mm instead of the .40 S&W. But really, either way you can't go wrong.

But that 9mm V3 is a pleasure to shoot. So soft shooting for a polymer pistol.

now i love the .40 cal, and i like to have alot of magazines, and them being interchangable is a big deal to me, one of the many reasons that i am sticking with the same caliber in the xd series, so i will have even more mags. but even though i like having more magazines, i like shooting more, and the more you can shoot, because of the price of ammo the better i believe. so i would, if i liked the 9mm, i would go with the 9mm, but i personally am sticking to as few handgun calibers as possible so all my stuff is .40, but if that wasn't the case themn i would definetly go with the 9mm, the more practice the better.

I'd go w/ the 9mm and you can still use the USPc 40 mags and carry a few extra 9 mm rounds

A 10 round .40 mag holds 13 9mm is what I was told. I would go with the .40 myself simply because I like .40 more. However in your case maybe the 9mm is a better choice.

Either one is a good choice. Only thing I'm wondering is if one is ready to spend $700+/- on a new handgun when they already have one pretty much equal to it, is ammo cost really a concern? Kinda like wondering where to find cheapy mags for a P7M8.

Now if you can activly shoot one chambering better than the other, regardless of the other chioces, I'd buy the one in that chambering. Me, I can shoot 9mm better than can my .40 so when looking for a new pistol, I'll look at a 9mm before a .40 Just another aspect to consider.

Go for the big bore.P2000 .40S&W. with switchable mags between your USPC40.

IMO interchangeable mags overrated, ymmv (ie the 9mm will come with its OWN mags!!), get the nine and shoot more for less.

IMHO, .40 is going to be the new 9mm... I'm starting think budget 9mm ammo is being made to the same quality as some .22lr ammo. Different boxes shooting all over the place, it seems .40 and .45 are more consistant, but also more expensive. Obviously I'd pick the .40
