Since I love my USP, I have been thinking about he 45 Super, and other 45 caliber rounds to play with. I have read on the internet that the USP 45 can handle the 45 super, and other 45 caliber incarnations. So, I called HK, actually got to speak with some one. They related to me that they could not help me, and stated that HK does not authorize the use of anything other than 45ACP in the USP 45. So......, What is a good setup to experiment? What do you, those of you that have a USP 45 and have shot the Super or other, reccomend that I do to ensure safety. I dont want to hurt myself, or make my USP go BOOM.

Not only does HK not authorize the use of .45 Super in the USP, it, the use, will void your warranty. They have had a few pistols returned in various levels of "damaged condition" that they have refused to warranty. ;)

From what I understand, HK "authorizes" the shooting of +P 45 ammo in their USP series of pistols.

The Mk23 SOCOM is supposedly "approved" for 45 Super and as far as I know that is the only one.
