Not that I've got the money right now, but for my next purchase I'm debating between a HK USP Compact V1 and HK P2000 V3. I like the cocked and locked option of the USP C but the grip of the P2000 feels better in my hands. Is there any difference in accuracy, reliability and durability between the two?

Have you shot either of them? I've shot the USPc .40 and the P2000SK and wasn't impressed in terms of grip comfort. Both are very accurate. I need to try out the P2000, though.

Shoot 50 rounds out of them and give us your take.

The P2000 is more ergonomic for most. The USPc allows for c&l carry. You really need to just find a place that has both and see which feels the best to you.

I was faced with the same decision just 2 weeks ago.

I ended up going with a P2000 LEM in .40. I shot the USP, the sk, and the "full size" P2000 in .40. before I bought. I had been a 1911 guy up to that point, with the exception of a PM9 for summer carry.

PM me if you want a cheap source. <$700 out the door new, with night sights was the best I found.

I've shot & like both -- in 9mm (I'm not a 40 fan). If I had to pick for someone (which I'm doing for you ;) ) I'd say get the one that fits & feels best in your hands
