Bullets --

They're not getting any cheaper. When I see them on sale I stock up. Also, I look on the "bargin bins" and tables for open boxes, odd lots . . .

Mostly I only care about diameter and cost. I'm not hunting and so weight and construction are not concerns.

Oregon Trails "laser cast" lead bullets work well for .458" large bore rifle and 44 mag, pistols in 38, 45 -- and they sell in bulk, 500 in a box. I keep stocking boxes on the loading rack.

I pick up brass for calibers I don't own . . . yet. Hard to pass up brass that's just lying on the ground. No shortage of brass -- except for the spendy .458 Win. Mag. stuff at about a buck a case.

But bullets are a one-shot deal, and I can't seem to hoard enough of them.
