Hogue Installation

Has anyone used the Hogue 12" LOP stock on their Mossberg 500/ Maverick 88?

I got one in and it seems the stock bolt is too long, the washers that were on it make it too short so it doesn't get screwed in far enough and was wondering if there is another bolt that needs to be used?
