I know gun shows are piddling affairs in many states. The Springfield, Missouri shows are not as large as the mother-of-all-shows, the Wanenmacher in Tulsa, but still...
These are my guesses: about 500 tables, 2000+ visitors on Saturday morning. I waited 20 minutes in a cold wind to get inside, and when I left an hour later the line was longer. Both rooms of the Ozarks Empire Fair Grounds Exhibition Hall were full. I saw tables stacked with high capacity magazines higher than my head. (I’m 6’ 5”). Ammo was available at mind-blowing prices. No primers anywhere. Price tags on guns were about the same as in previous shows, but I don’t think there was much bargaining going on. I feel sorry for those who don’t get to go to a real gunshow!
I knew what I wanted, and had discussed the transaction with the dealer before the show, so I was in and out quickly. I might have been able to visit each table in one day, but that was not my goal. If you want to experience a Second Amendment event, consider the next gunshow in Springfield!
