Whether its Chanukah or Christmas or Eid-Milad-un-Nabi which is on the12th day of Rabi-ul-Awwal ( happened to be in April this year ) ANYWAYS! Who isn't excited to give and receive gifts to their family members.

What do you want for your holiday of choice?

What is the gift your most excited about giving?

Well I want an arisaka type 38! Got my wife a Henry Frontier as her first gun

Your posts have given me an idea unless it already exists gift cards for range time!

The O/P did not state my Christmas wish had to be a firearm so what I really want is Peace on Earth and Goodwill to Mankind. The gift I'm most proud of is a $$ donation to the local food bank in my wife's name, her request by the way.

Happy Holidays All

We should all aspire to be as you , especially on Christmas.

They are really beautiful guns I can't remember what round they use tho

Mine uses 6.5mm x 50mm Japanaese.
There are others that uses a 7.7 Jap round, but that me be the type 99 only.

Not cheap. You can find it online for about $20 a box of 20. Because of this, I have not shot mine, an inheritance piece brought back from the PTO.

Graf and J&C both have it for $20ish, Midway and Ammo to go are in the $40 range. Norma still has limited runs of 6.5 Jap, the stuff at J&C is new Hornady runs with more modern bullets.

Milsurp is nearly impossible to find, but I don't go to many gun shows either. You're more likely to find Steyr, Carcano or Swiss in the 6.5mm cartidge. none of which will fire in an Arisaka.

It was brought back by my step dads late father. I'm going to buy a box of ammo for Father's day and shoot it with him. He's been around this gun his entire life, and he's never shot it. I don't think it's been fired in over 60 years. Cosmetically, my type 38 is a bit beat up, but the bore is pristine.
