My wife has accompanied me to the IDPA matches and has apparently grown tired of the club president pestering her to compete. After she started showing interest I borrowed a slicked up, four inch model 66 and loaded some light .38s. She's beginning to really pick it up and just about ready to begin practicing fast draws, etc.

I would appreciate any suggestions regarding holsters, speed loader accessories, etc. for her and this revolver. She is 5'5" and has a 28" waist (Yes, I'm one lucky dude!)

Thanks

Most holster makers offer "dropped and offset" holsters for ladies. I know Blade-Tech does and surely others you will get references to. They also make speedloader carriers. I use Safariland Comp II speedloaders for .38 Special; the Comp III is a bit faster but is a bigger unit, too. Both are a little tricksy to load shells into, but very easy to load the gun with. The HKS are the other way 'round; easy to fill, but you have to stabilize the cylinder and twist the knob to load from them. The Safarilands just push straight into the cylinder, but you have to learn the push and twist to fill them. SL Variants are the easiest to operate but are more expensive and I don't know where to get them any more.
