holster for 4" pencil bbl s&w

If any one can direct me to a holster that will be good for ccw....preferably OWB(hi ride) or IWB.

Two good places would be El Paso Saddlery/ or Galco. Both places make excellent holsters in many different styles for revolvers.

Recognize that most holsters for the heavy barrel will work just fine for your tapered barrel revolver. This is due to the fact that the front sight has to be the same height relative to the receiver for both models.

I had tried a Bianchi Shadow II for the 4" K-frame, and the barrel poked out. Maybe it was labelled wrong, but I measured from the frame to the tip of the barrel and it measured 4".

Measured from where the barrel screwed into the frame? If so, then you are too short. Revolver barrel length is measured from the end of the barrel to the front of the cylinder. Possibly you have a 5" barrel.

if it's a 5", doesn't that increase the value?
Also, I found an online distributor for Ross Leather Holsters. Are these guys any good?
