Is there one site that lists the majority of the gun purses by the different manufactures? I know there are several companies, many that I don't know about, that make these. My wife intends to get her CCW and I want to get her one of these purses. The ones from Colorado leather she doesn't care for.

Not that I'm aware of.

The Cornered Cat may have some articles that may be helpful. Here are a couple.

Concealed Carry Purses https://www.corneredcat.com/article/practical-issues/concealed-carry-purses/

Should I carry in my Purse? https://www.corneredcat.com/article/practical-issues/should-i-carry-in-my-purse/

As far as makers, Mitch Rosen has one https://mitchrosen.com/products/additional-products/

guntotenmamas.com has a very nice selection of quality purses and such.

I've been carrying their mens concealed briefcase for nine years now,,,
It's holding up just fine with that many years of daily use.

I know two ladies who have purchased their purses,,,
As a leather worker myself I can attest to the quality of the goods.

I always loved the image on their website,,,

Getting to this late. Check out Concealed Carrie. The wife of the owner of a LGS near me owns the company and they are on display at the shop. They seem to be very stylish and great quality.

My wife has carried since the late 70's. She used everything from purses to diaper bags. By the way diaper bags are excellent. Back when many people still used cloth diapers no one in their right mind would try to snatch a diaper bag. But I digress.

Honestly, she found the best way to carry is the same way a "man" carries. That is on her person. Now just how that will be is different for every woman just as it is for every man. We are all shaped differently, and need to find a position and manner that both conceals and is comfortable.

My wife took a 12 hour class for women only, self defense concealed carry etc and tried every holster and system currently known. She came back and said she absolutely would not wear a holster on a daily basis or for concealed carry. Some type of handbag or no carry end of discussion. She will holster now when walking the dog out on our farm but that's open carry not concealed. I tried to suggest on-person carry but I haven't had much success changing her mind. Only been together 27 years though so maybe...

IMO, gun in purses are dangerous. A purse is way to easy to steal, and is often the target. NOW, the perp has the purse AND the gun- and the carrier, if the purse is attached to her. Also, women's purses tend to be some type of "black hole" that defies physics, in many cases. Everything is in it, but they can't seem to find any of it quickly- and that's under normal, non-stressful conditions.

Many times, but not always.
My wife will NOT carry in a hip holster- her choice. She is aware of the limitations and potential for problems.
Her bag is a cross-body bag and she keeps it close in front of her at left waistline. The strap has steel cable within the sewn leather and her G43 is in a dedicated compartment with zipper on the body side with an internal holster. I would rather see her use an on-body holster but she has made her own informed decision and has trained with her choice. We also live in area where I don't recall hearing of a purse snatch in the past 10 years or more.
