yeah...now I got this fine ROA 5 1/2. Thought I'd do a little CAS entrainment. Had no idea that the rig was more expressive than clicking the leather option in a Jaguar i used to have....not saying they're not art, not saying they're not worth it...just asking who makes the most "economic" quality product.

Why... YOU do, of course. A buddy of mine made this one for his 50th Anniversary Ruger .44 mag. I'm going to vary the pattern a touch so I can make one for my 1858 NMA... and probably one for my Walker... and probably one for my Super BlackHawk... and probably one for my 1858 Bison.

If you have a Tandy Leather shop in your area... go ask about their leather classes (mine offer them for free) and get after it.

Here's the holster my buddy made. It's lined with smooth leather on the inside and hand stitched with a saddle stitch. And... he got to put his own choice of decorative pattern on it. I don't have a shot of the gun belt he made to go with it... but, it's equally nice.

I have a holster in that style...what kind are they? I found one in a smith and wesson box, did they ever make any?

thanks!

I second BigBadGun.............he is makign some leather for me right now for my Walker and my Lemat revovlers ;) Does primo work :D

I have been making holsters off and on since 1965 when I feel the need. Got two ROAs a while back and decided to make what I wanted at my price. Wound up essentially duplicating the old #120 Lawrence "Keith" holster, deleting the strap and utilizing a hammer thong instead. Got a good deal on proper weight leather, sufficient for 4 holsters, and after that the main investment was time. Not fancy, but they look nice and do the job.

And if I can do it, anyone can.
