Anyone here try the 700 Grain Bullets from ballstic yet?

I don't know if i have the nerve for that one, the 500 grain Hornady whacks my wrist pretty hard ...maybe it would be good for that shot where the deer is standing behind a tree

TRP1, I have not tried the 700 Grain Bullets from ballstic, but I have shot some of my reloads in 700 gr. in my 4 ich S&W 500 Mag. I did not find them any worse than my 440 gr. full loaded bullets .

Let me preface my last statement with this: I LOVE big bore hanguns. Recoil is my friend. It is cool. I love it. I have never fired a gun of any kind that I was not willing to shoot again immediately.

That being said Ballistic Supplies 500gr .500S&W load remains the only revolver load I have ever fired in my life that bruised the palm of my hand with one cylinder full.

Wear a glove.

John Ross: I fired my PC 500 yesterday for the first time and confirmed what I believed to be true. The recoil seemed no worse than my 4" S&W 500. What was most noticeable was the lack of blast compared to the 4”. I honestly enjoyed shooting it. It will be going with me to range more than any other pistol I own. I fired some cartridges I’ve had so long that I don’t recall what weight they were but they had to be at least 450’s. Accuracy was about where I’d expect it to be for a new gun and in my inexperienced hands. Balance is so good a friend asked me if it was made of plastic (‘course he has an 8-3/8” 460 topped with a Leopold scope). I know he was joking but the half-lug and 5” barrel really do make the difference in the perceived light weight feel.

no kiddin redhawk, I started with a ruger srh .480, then a srh .454 casull, then a s&w .460 and then the 500. diffinatly going to start reloading, rumor has it i'm getting a dillon press for christmas

Shooting the Smith 500 round is addicting!!!!!! Shoot it at nightfall, the freaking fireball is awesome..................................
