My father is a USMC veteran
My nephew is a USMC and US Army veteran of Desert Storm and Enduring Freedom.
I'm so proud of them.
Much honor and respect to all veterans who served this nation throughout the years.
Thank you all.
A short story of a Vietnam War pilot.
.....lest we forget.

I just shot my dad a happy vets day message, every year I make sure to do so and always remember the times growing up when I would screw up big time he went from nice calm dave to hard ass drill sargent nose to nose, yelling in a bellowing roar and spitting and poking the chest, I often felt I was transported to a barracks.

A big thanks to all who served.

Thank you to all who served. Attached is a story about one of our veterans. What this man and all our veterans have done for us is simply amazing.

Veterans Day is a unique holiday because it honors people for ”trying”. Too few today are willing to commit to the Nation, and those who did deserve recognition. Maybe more now than ever before - because the All Volunteer Force is celebrating 50 years. Many of our greatest warriors did so reluctantly - but they served their country. Since the advent of the AVF, it represents people who choose to serve - which is special.

Every vet is owed a debt of gratitude - and I wouldn’t trade my 30+ years of service for anything. If you want to honor Veterans Day, encourage someone to join tomorrow to keep the tradition going.

I don't want or need thanks from anyone. I'd much prefer the people who give thanks every year, do so by fighting the communists eating the soul of this Country. In all honesty, in its current state, I'm not 100% convinced I'd do it all over again.

Sorry for the side-track.

The hyenas are definitely running the country right now.....but we wouldn't have a country if it weren't for the old lions.

Just now got home after spending the day at the Liberty Memorial and World War One Museum. They had a presentation by a former Signal Corps officer who headed a Combat Photography unit in Vietnam 67-68. He gave an excellent presentation with some good stories.
The museum has an amazing collection of weapons and gear from WW1.

Moms great, great grand father & great grand father fought with Sam Houston in the battles for Texas’ independence.

Moms father was a Marine in WWII. Served in the Aleutians.

Dads uncle served in the army in WWII. Volunteered at 43 years old in the days after Pearl Harbor, served as a stateside clerk.

Wife’s grandfather was a ferry pilot during WWII. He led a squadron of male and female pilots who flew Grumman aircraft from the factory testing airfields in New York to the West Coast ports for overseas combat duty.

Dad served in the army between Korea and Vietnam. Was stationed in Philadelphia.

FIL served as a Marine in Vietnam. Was wounded in combat just a couple of months after landing in-Country.

Thank you all.

My son is currently in AFROTC in college, with dreams to serve in the Air Force upon graduation.

I hope to thank you on Veterans Day soon, son.

Stay safe. 🇲🇾
