My family's thanks go out to all that have served this great nation.
I don't consider myself much of a veteran because the world was pretty quiet while I was in but we have served for 4 generations and I'm very proud of that.

Heartfelt thanks go out to you and your family for all your service.

It looks like when Uncle Sam called your family never hung up the phone. "I'm on my way. Hey, hold on, talk to my son, he's right here."

Let me see,

My Great Grand Dad Served with an Union (Ohio) Cav. Regiment during War Between the States. He had recently arrived in the US from Farnham, Surrey, England (South West of London, near Aldershot, Hants). Yes, my Great Grand Dad, not Great, Great, Great, etc....and yes I am only 37, it is possible. He had two Sons who Served in Spanish-Amercan War.

My Grand Dad Served with US Navy during the Great War. Also two great Uncles Served with US Army in France and Italy during Great War.

My Dad Served in US Navy in the Pacific Theatre during the War. Also one Uncle Served in US Army Air Force in Alaska, one Uncle Served with 9th Armoured Div, and another Uncle Served with 75th Infantry Div. Both of the last two Uncles were in the Ardennes Forest, and the Uncle in the 9th Armoured crossed the Rhein at Remagen. All survived the War.

One Uncle Served with the newly formed US Air Force with the 51st Fighter Pursuit Wing ("Checker tails") near Suwan, South Korea during the fighting there. He was a Crew Chief for F-86 Sabres.

The last was your's truely. I Served with the US Navy from 1989 until 1993. I was trained as an AE, but ended up serving as a Plane Captain (aka "Crew Chief", NOT Air crew) for F-14A Tomcats with VF-302 Fighting Stallions at NAS Miramar, San Diego, Ca. VF-302 was technically a "Reserve"Fighter Squadron, we flew everyday just like the other squadrons, only we did not deploy on West Pacs. However the scuttlebutt was that we were slated to relieve a USAF Photo Recon Squadron at Bahrain if Desert Storm lasted longer. That never happened as we all that Saddam did not want to play any longer.

I already posted a photo of my Dad and I on another thread, so here is a photo of me beside the Tomcat with my name on it. Photo was taken on Sat. 31 OCT 92.

Thank You
