So I inquired to Hornaday about purchasing a case feeder assy for My LNL AP press. I do not have sufficient room to my ceiling for the motor and hopper assy to sit as designed on the press. I explained my situation and the reply I received was:

"thanks for your interest in Hornaday products. We do not offer any of those parts outside of purchasing the complete kit."
:banghead:

This makes me angry. Here is why. I will still purchase hornaday products and they will still make money off me, I have a tall bench(I like to stand and reload, hence the ceiling issue), and finally, I dont need an overpriced motor/hopper assy just to feed cases, I am fine feeding them manually in a tube!

I just wanted to get the most capacity out of my machine with the room I currently have.

This also goes for the rifle bullet feeder.

Any advise, ideas, or parts anyone is willing to sell?

Thanks Guys

Only thing I can think of is:

Buy the kit.
And cut a hole in the ceiling to fit it.

Sorry, that wasn't very helpful was it? :D

Dig a hole for your bench. Much better idea than wrecking your ceiling.

If you are willing to hand feed a tube, why not the press? I can see maybe feeding 100 cases(assuming the caliber allows it, not likely) and 100 primers and making a run but I don't think it will save any real time.

Search for some homemade bullet or case feeders here and try to adapt some ideas to your own design. Maybe a flexible tube like the bullet feeders use?

Short of that, lower your bench/press and/or have a seat!:) I like standing myself so I understand. See if any of the Inline Fab products will help.

Or as RC said, do some re-modeling!

Side note: When I played around with jet boats it was common for people to add a "snoot closet" in attached garages for pump clearance to get the garage door shut. Same may be necessary in this case. I believe I would do it for the convenience myself.

I know I'm all over the place here, but I bet if one of those parts needed warranty replacement they could get it to you.

Not to agree with them but, there is no reason for them so sell the pieces separately since they have a lifetime warranty on their products and they will fix them for you without charge. I know you want to Frankenstein their machine but that's also not in their interest. When it doesn't work correctly you might go on a popular reloading forum and bash their products even though they aren't being used as designed.

Look for a used unit. You may be able to find just a case feeder or a complete press and feeder, then sell the press.

Depending on what you find, you could get the case feeder for near free and you should have the parts you want.

Of course, used things are used for a reason, maybe not a bad reason, but a reason just the same.

However, when you modify your LnL to make it smaller, Hornady will not fix that.

Fwiw- my wife bought some of those fancy screens like you see in various asian cultures... won't fit in the house.

We're looking for a new house.

Coincidence ????????????????????????????????????

This is not the buy/sell/trade area, and fussing about Hornady's policies isn't going to help.
