I know this is probably stupid question...but does the Hornaday lock-n-load conversion work with Lee dies since they use an "O" ring? Or should I go with different dies?

It will work, but you'll have to use a different lock ring. I use a couple of Lee dies in my LnL progressive with the Hornady lock rings on them.

Honestly, I don't see the big deal about the Lock-n-Load system unless you're using the progressive press. On the progressive it saves a lot of time because you're swapping a lot of dies in and out for different calibers and stuff. On a single stage, threading dies in and out didn't seem like a big deal to me. I used good lock rings on the dies so I didn't have to set them up again every time I used them, and that was that.

Since I have the Lock-n-Load AP progressive press and all my dies are in the LnL bushings now, it would be ideal for me to also have the LnL setup for my single stage press. If I didn't have the LnL AP, I'd just stick with the standard threads.

You can use Lee dies with lee lock rings if you turn the lock rings upside down.

I have an LnL AP and a Lee Classic Cast with a LNL converter bushing installed. I have the Classic Cast converter shimmed so that I get the same OAL on both the single stage and the LnL AP.

I think the bushings are great.
