Premium ammo around where I live is a little scarce. I noticed the local hardware carries ammo from "Mountaineer Custom Cartridge" They load match grade ammo with 9mm in 115gr and 124gr using the Hornady XTPs. I have found plenty of info about the ballistics of the 124gr but not the 115gr. MCC lists velocities for both rounds at about 1175fps and 1180fps. During the winter months I use the Corbon DPXs but at 14.50 for a box of 50 the MCC stuff is a lot cheaper. It is REALLY accurate in my M&P 9c also. What do you guys think of the 115gr XTP?

I hand load Hornady XTP bullets in several calibers, .32ACP, 9x18, 9mm, 38, 357, 40 S&W and M1 Carbine.

The XTP is a good bullet. It expands well and is accurate.

I love xtp's and John Belt of MCC makes some very high quality ammo. I recomend his ammo and have done some tests with wet phone books and liked what I saw.

I fired a box of the MCC last weekend and it seems like pretty hot stuff besides being very accurate. I had half of the magazine loaded with Magtech 115gr +P and the MCC stuff seemed just as hot. It was, however, very accurate.
