Currently, Midway is offering a sale price on the Hornady Auto Charge Powder Scale & Dispenser. I'm tempted. Any comments on this device? How accurate is it? I have a perfectly good accurate RCBS Uniflow hand-cranked dispenser, also a Lyman #55 (which is better than the RCBS for small charges) and an Ohaus 505 scale--Is the Auto Charge a step up in accuracy, convenience, speed, less putzing??

Do I want to do this? Need to?

Mine is spot on and I have no idea why I waited so long to buy one. I still do rifle single stage and it speeds up things and my groups got tighter -- seriously.

All the test I have seen the RCBS charger is way faster than any of the others, it is also programmable for speed to your liking.

Hornday is has programmable speeds and has programmable slow down near set charge. Still lyman gen6 smokes it. Plus it takes up half the space and only needs 3 mins to warm up

I would like to know why also. I looked at all 3 before making a buy in a local gunshop.

Everyone talks about warm up but I have tested the RCBS thoroughly and I have not seen a difference in warming it up or not. Tested against 2 beam scales and one digital scale, it has been spot on. Maybe I got a good one for a change :)
