Hey all,

I just picked up a Hornady LNL AP Loader today, and I have a few questions. I was wondering where would be the best place to purchase the EZ-Ject shell plates? I was also wondering what shell plate numbers I will need. I will be loading:

45 LC
38 Special and +P
40 S&W
9 MM
7MM Rem Mag
223 Remington

I have been reloading with an old Lyman Turret Press.

I am looking forward to getting this set up.

Thanks for your help!
John

Midway has a option to shop shell holders and shell plates by caliber. For the most part, I believe the Hornady shell holder numbers and shell plate numbers are the same for the same cartridge.

I would think the Hornady web site would also have the information.

Sinclair International also carries Hornady shell plates but their price is higher than Midway's.

I am sure there are other sources around. Those are the two I use the most. Some of the other major choices are located in Tennessee which means I have to pay sales tax. I generally don't shop there because of the sales tax.

I enjoy my Hornady. Have fun with yours.

I just bought some from here. It was the best price I could find at the time, and looks like it may still be.

ETA: yeah, look at the Hornady site for which one you need. The vendors are all probably correct, but it wouldn't hurt to double check.

John, I just got one of these last week and picked up some shell plates at Cabelas since they arent too far for me. In the LNL manual there is a page that lists what plate is needed for each caliber.

Just got into reloading recently and found that most vendors are out of stock on a lot of Hornady parts. However, I was able to locate the plates on Midsouth Shooter Supply's website. Decent price as well.

Last week I went looking (on-line) for Hornadays shell plate for .45acp. I lost track of the number of sites I visited with those being out of stock, so I emailed Hornaday. They're answer was that some L-n-L parts have been out of stock, but that Midway was do to receive a large shipment. I believe they have, since I got a notice from Midway that the part had shipped.
