Has anyone been able to make their own modified case for the OAL guage? I am assuming they must have come up with their own threads or something sp that people can't make their own cases?
I tried to figure out what the thread pitch and diameter is but I don't have a very large tap and die set to help me.
I'm sure that someone who is a machinist can tell rather quickly.
I only have 3 calibers of rifles currently so whenever I add one to the stable I order a Hornady case for it.
If you want to be even more precise measure the difference from the datum line to the base of the cartridge for both the Hornady case and a fired case from your rifle and add it to your measurement.
