Local (relatively) company for me. I'm curious if this will get some kind of discrimination lawsuit the way bakeries and Dick's/Walmart. If we can play that game with age discrimination I bet an entire state will have the resources to twist legal jargon. Either way I glad to see this.

You can file for darn near anything. Doesn't mean the courts will even accept it. The state of NY could file one, but it would go nowhere. Governments & agencies thereof are not a protected class.

Does Hornady sell anything the states they plan to boycott cannot obtain from competitors?

It’s besides the point. It would be nice, however unrealistic as business’s go, if those competitors followed Hornady’s lead. It’s the statement being made that, really effects the bigger picture, and a show of force that gun companies (or related) are willing to stand up for themselves and not be walked all over by.... well.... pretty much everyone these days.

Nice job, Steve Hornady!

I will buy your stuff for my personal use from now on.

Hopefully Winchester, Remington, CCI-Speer and the rest of the duty ammo makers will follow suit!

Stay safe!

God Bless Steve Hornady.......... IMHO he's one hundred percent correct in labeling NYS's actions as "despicable" . I've been a user of Hornady products for many years and this whole thing reminds me of that thing a few years back when the CEO of Barrett Firearms stopped selling to any government agencies of the state of California due to their rabid anti-gun policies. In the future I'm gonna strive to be a better Hornady customer.

Kudos to Steve Hornady and his no nonsense approach to sending a clear message to Governor Cuomo and his ilk.

I have been a Hornady customer for many years; now I'm a Hornady customer for life!

For Hornady it is enough. I will buy more of their products. Much more. They went from sometime buy to almost always. We need others in the industry to do the same. What if all the major gun makers would refuse to sell their products to the governments of anti gun states? I live in New York and support their action.

I have been using the value- priced Hornady "American Gunner" ammo in my concealed carry piece. The XTP bullet is well suited for carry and self defense so I'm glad to support Hornady.

Going forward, I see myself buying more Hornady products.

I’m not biased towards any brands. My first criteria is value. So I’m always looking for the best quality product for the lowest cost. Now that doesn’t mean the cheapest one, but what I think is the best made that has a good price. Anyway, after quality and price, other factors come into consideration.

So there are a lot of companies now, that I’ll avoid if given the chance. So on the flip side it’s nice to see the opposite. A company that I’ll pick over others if quality and price are close.

In other words, Hornaday has now jumped to the top of the list of companies that I’ll look at this way.
