What is the hottest 9mm and 38O ACP loads one can find in the US commerical market?

Thynx

Can't be sure but I expect CorBon is ''up there''.

I think too Black Hills do a hot - maybe +P+ - for 9mm.

I don't generally exceed a normal +P for 9mm and .380 in wife's gun is std pressure stuff.

Cor-Bon may be good, but...

DoubleTap will beat them HANDS DOWN! Mike McNett is working on a .380 load that should DEFINITELY put Cor-Bon "in it's place.":uhoh: :p

I KNOW that their 9mm loads already DO!:neener:  :D

See them at www.doubletapammo.com

I do not know about the 9mm but the hottest 38 special and 380 ammo I ever recorded with my chrono is Spanish made Santa Barbara ammo. You might find it at gun shows if you are lucky.

My Kel Tec 3AT self destructed after one and a half magazines of Santa Barbara 380 ammo and I ended up with a blistered finger from the recoil.

Be careful shooting too hot of loads in the Kel Tec. The P3AT has terrible case support.

In 9mm, you can probably find surplus Hirtenberger "SMG special" ammo, L9A1 IIRC. It is ball/FMJ, and quite hot, as it was designed for Sterling SMG

DoubleTap 124gr+p is nasty, REAL NASTY. It feels like your shooting a 40, i forgot where i saw it, but it expanded to .80 inch thouch some wet phonebooks.
Just remember when you carry it, it kicks alot harder then the WWb your probably using for practice.

I've switched to 147 gr. Doubletap... tried it with 124 gr. and didn't like the feel of the 124... more snap to the round than the 147, and I got better groups with the 147... both seem very good, though... but I've definitely switched from what I'd been carrying... I didn't try the 115 gr, though.

+1 for DoubleTap. I load both my .40 and .45 with thier stuff. I get 1160 fps with a 185 gr GDHP out of the shorty Glock 30...

Buffalo Bore and Double-Tap definitely make some of the hottest stuff out there, usually more than Cor-Bon.

Running +p in a P3AT is asking a lot of a tiny gun. .380 in that size gun is akin to running 44 mag out of a J-frame or 10mm in a Walther PPK.
