I just received my first 700 round can of HotShot 7.62 ammo and opend a box to take a look at the stuff. It's lacquer coated like Wolf Military Classic but the coating is much thicker. Has anyone had any problems with HotShot gumming up the works in an AK? Any feed or ejection problems with this stuff?

I shoot an SKS and not an AK, but the Hotshot has functioned perfectly for me. Not very accurate, though. My rifle much prefers Wolf or Golden Tiger or Brown Bear.

Shooting a lot of it and fast may leave some residue behind in the chamber.
This can be easily brushed out later. I've had both chrome and non-chrome
lined chambers get dirty with the lacquer, but it has not affected functioning
in a 7.62x39. This is due to the angle of the case itself. However, lacquer
build-up (or on the flip-side some missing lacquer on a steel case) can be an
issue in .223. Eventually, a .223 case will stick like a brick and not extract
(and this includes chrome). This will require tapping out with a cleaning rod.
