Houston guns up?

I've bought a Sig P228, Remington 700 VLS, and Springfield M1A since Katrina.

But I probably would have anyway.:neener:

Mr. Pruett missed the crime brought on by illegals (we just lost an LEO to a scum bag who was just "doing the jobs Americans won't do").

So thanks to both Katrina Scum (not to be confused with Katrina Victims who work and don't break the law) and Illegals, I have more guns now than I did a year ago. And no, I probably would not have bought them any way. "Getting a serious gun" was always something that I was gonna do "someday". I guess I have the K.S. and Illegals to thank for making the "someday" happen.

So the only question now is; For my next trick do I go for an EBR or for the CMP Garand.

He wins this argument. His advertisement is about the welfare knocks and not those who should be calling themselves Houstonians by now.
Who can win against the guy with barrels of ink?

That's exactly the thought that came to my mind when I read about Pruett's ad in this story, most notably the comment from Katrina evacuee Debra Campbell that the commercial "is targeting us now." Funny, I was thinking Pruett was only talking about the ones who, y'know, steal and break stuff and kill people...

In any event, I must say, that's gotta be one of the most brilliant commercials I've ever heard. I can't help but think other gun shops and CCW instructors around Houston are kicking themselves in the derriere now and asking themselves, "Now why didn't I think of that?"

The other shops with the except of Carter's Country don't advertise on radio here. Pruett has a leg up because he used to do a morning show on one of the station's previous incarnations.

Ahh, you're right. I am a regular listener of KIOL (big Walton and Johnson fan) but I didn't even think about that. Still, though, that ad was brilliant. I have to wonder if there's any way it could translate to print. :D
For years, I heard about the Stevens & Pruett show and how awesome it was...unfortunately, I moved to the very outer fringes of Rock 101 KLOL's signal out here in the Golden Triangle a few months after Mark Stevens left, so I missed out. KLOL actually came in here fairly decent most of the time, for those of us with good enough antennas.
