Yikes
First I thought he "drew"-drew a gun, but Jesus ...

Hoplophobia at it's worst.

I am offended that he drew a drawing of King Tut. As the father of a beautiful and unique snowflake, I am worried that this boy intends to enslave her in order to build himself a pyramid. :scrutiny::banghead:

When I was in second grade, by freinds and I would craft epic scenes of battle between soliders, armed with everything from pistols to tommyguns, bazookas to giant robots... Locked in mortal combar with aliens, dinosaurs, school lunch, and (or course) ninjas.

I'll never understand why it is considered acceptable to have a second-grader listen to, dress like, and dance like Britney Spears... But that same second grader needs psychotherapy if they pretend to be a cowboy.

For the record, this is the "gun" in question.

Same here!!! And same with a lot of boys im sure. Im sure many of you have noticed that the kids in our country are being encouraged to be less and less "tough" and less independant, boys are being punished for being interested in the things that we were interested in when we were kids. I know so many families who would be mortified if they found their kids playing cowboys and indians like I did as a kid. I just dont understand it.

I think the reason they did it, was the child explaining that this was a picture of him shooting his classmate, David. Its a little overkill to suspend the student, when you could just explain the errors of such ways.

The newspaper report quotes the mother: "Her son told her the drawing was of a water gun, she said."

That's worse still. Water is a precious human resource. It should not be shot, not even symbolically. To do so defiles Mother Nature.

Suspension is not sufficient punishment for that second grader. At the very least he should be removed from the awful environment in which he is being raised, expelled from school, and never allowed to attend another school. His parents should be institutionalized so they can be reprogrammed. Hillary Clinton knows the score: she understands that it takes a village to raise a child. Those villages will raise them right. I mean "left."

Remember: Zero Tolerance for Zero Intellects capable of exercising Zero Judgment is essential for the ideal society.

(I tired of morons years ago. Things will change when enough other people get tired of them too.)

I would say that it is way overkill to suspend someone for drawing that picture, and to suspend a 7 year old for it is worse. And if their are errors in what he drew, then movie producers are sick people for ever wanting to put action films in theaters.

I can't wait to get out of the public education system. I hate being a peon of the government and look forward to uncensored learning and discussion.
