How did Feinstein get a wal of "assault weapons" into the Senate? By breaking the law

I'm certainly no fan of Feinstein, but I'm not sure where the violation of law is.
Its a crime to bring weapons onto federal property. I think the Capital Building counts as federal property. If I brought several semiautomatic rifles into my work place (also federal property) I'd be fired at the very least, arrested most likely, and possibly imprisoned. Why is that hag still walking around free?

^Because of her great power and connections. She may be an idiot. But idiots with power are still protected. This happens all the time. What gets me is there is actual video evidence of laws being broken. And all that happens is the politician makes a public apology and then everything is fine. Think that would cut it for the average joe? Of course not. But is it ever going to stop? Doubtful. As long as it continues to happen, people become more accustomed to it. Now it's, "I'm not even surprised....Oh well".

What makes you think it's a crime to bring weapons onto federal property? Ever been on a military base? They have everything from M16's to artillery to nukes, literally every kind of weapon you can name. They take them off and on the facility all of the time. Might be a crime for YOU to bring them onto federal property, but that doesn't apply to everyone.

That's probably true. Since you work on federal property and your location is listed as Huntsville, Alabama, you probably work at either the Redstone Arsenal or Marshall Spaceflight Center (I also work at a NASA center). I can tell you for a fact that there are people who are perfectly legal bringing fully automatic weapons onto either of those federal facilities. Just because you can't legally bring a weapon on site doesn't mean that no one can.

18 USC § 930 - Possession of firearms and dangerous weapons in Federal facilities. There are exceptions in the law, none of which as far as I can tell applied to her.

Ever been on a military base?
Yes, but that is covered by the expections I mentioned. Since the Senator is neither a police officer nor serving member of the military, your example doesn't really apply to her.

There's at least one other federal property in town. ;)

Of course. We have armed guards at the front door, and armed federal police stop by regularly. Again, they are covered by specific exceptions in the law that AFAIK don't apply to Feinstein.
