I'm interested in selling a gun on a site like gunbroker.com . I am just a private citizen, no FFL or anything. What do I need to know? Do I just get the FFL info, verify the FFL address on the ATF website, and ship it? Do I have to return the FFLs paperwork? Are there any costs on my end? What should I be aware of?

Thanks!

Pretty much, but your State may have additional requirements. And not all FFLs will accept firearms from individuals. You may want to state in your auctions that you will only ship to an FFL who will accept an item from an individual.

Or that buyer will pay YOUR FFL transfer fees AND his. (Talk to a local FFL first so you can tell them how much it will add to the total)

I just use a local gun shop/FFL guy and pay him 15.00 to ship and do the paperwork. He does it all and I don't have to look over my sholder and worry about if I'm doing it right or not.
