How do you decide whats next?

I first have to sit down and learn the difference between NEED and WANT.

unfortunately, the item at the top of my want list is a Dillion mini-gun and since i dont see that happening, i kinda just wing it... if i waited till i got #1 off the list, i would be waiting forever

I don't have extra money to buy guns just because they look pretty. Every gun I buy is for a specific purpose.

I need to replace my daily carry gun (sold it; it didn't please me). Need. That comes first, since I carry daily. Sweetie is going to want hers back soon.

I need a main battle gun for rifle matches. That comes second.

After that, There are no needs left for now.

Gee, after my first handgun, all my NEEDS were met. To me, firearms have to have a certain beauty - like an UZI vs a MAC-10. I just buy what strikes me as being beautiful the day I wander into the gun shop.

i have a dream gun list but that is about it as far as a ist goes. there is only 3 guns left on there and 2 of them i wil never realistically be able to get and the other i will one day. other than that i fill the niches inmy collection. i have a black rifle a back up black rifle, a shotgun, a hd hangun, and a back up, a ccw gun and a back up and one for the wife, and so now i can think about getting guns just because i can. all i really need is a precision bolt rifle.

I wing it, but I do have a mental list that I sometimes lose. I've read a lot of posts about the fun others have had with the Mosin Nagant, so I'm not sure where on the list it was, but it got bumped to the top when I happened to walk into Big 5 Sporting Goods yesterday and it was on sale for $80 along with a Steyr M95 for the same price. Now I have to wait 10 days to pick'em both up.

I have a list. And when I get the money, I usually have to "earn" it.

I go to Mahjongg Connect over on Newgrounds, and if I complete all seven puzzles, then I've "earned" that choice.

Before that, it was high scores in Snood.

It's more fun than flipping a coin.

I fill functional niches.

- Summer CCW
- Winter CCW
- Tack Hammer Bolt-gun
- Tack Hammer semi
- Hunting
- Home defense for me
- Home defense for wife
- Varmits
- Cheap plinker / practice

etc.....

If I can find a functional niche for something, I have a lot easier time justifying it to myself. Like recently, I passed up a good deal on a handgun because, well, I already have that niche filled.

The funny thing, Snood and Mahjongg Connect both seem to love the Beretta. Highest scores ever with those two.
