How Do You Display Your Guns?

On me or next to my bed when I sleep is how my 9mm and AR are displayed when I'm at home. No CHL, still debating whether I want one as I'm really hoping to see constitutional carry next legislative session here in Texas. 10/22 sits in a corner of my reloading room. That's currently the extent of my arsenal (or sad excuse for one lol).

Let me be clear also that I don't leave them unsecured. I hand my 9mm over to my roommates stay at home wife (no kids in the house) in the morning when I leave for work and she has Yorkie alarms that go nuts when anyone even walks down the sidewalk. Only time anyone is gone from the house generally is when we all head of to DFW to visit friends and their family. I haven't gone with them up to DFW in ages but next time I do (and I'm not bringing them along as the next time will probably be to hunt on land up there I got invited to), I will probably leave them with the nice police officer down the road. He owes us one after we found and took care of his daughter's silky terrier for two days a few months back :D

I had made a mock-up of a first door, and the initial problem was that the large door would "hang" when fully opened.

Almost considered going back to 2 cabinet doors, instead of one, but two pieces of wood right down the middle seemed odd.
Switched to heavy duty hinges, and bingo.

Not only do I not display my guns, but only my wife, my son, my insurance agent and my gun dealer even know I own a firearm.

I actually have a keyed door lock on my gun room door which I lock when guests are over.

I bought my gun safe from a friend. He shared with me a statistic that over 90% of gun thefts are committed by friends and acquaintances of the gun owner.

That said, I would have absolutely no idea how to display them. Hang them on nails driven into the wall?

Well it only took until the second post for someone to hijack the thread and tell you how to live your life.

I can't help but wonder how those folks are going to defend themselves with all their guns locked up? But at least they can tell the E.R. Doctor the criminals didn't get my guns.

In regards to the O.P. question I would use a shadow box for your handguns. The box could be anchored to the wall for security.
