How do you remove glass bedding?

OK, This is my fault for sure.
I have a rifle that had a very loose front sight.
For a quick fix so I could loan the rifle to a friend for hunting season I mixed up some Pro Bed 2000 glass bedding and filled the dovetail and set the front sight, Wiped off the excess and it was an almost invisible repair.
Fast foreward a couple of years to now.
I want to replace this front sight now but it wont move, period!
I mean it's like the thing is welded to the barrel.
Is there any solvent that will disolve glass bedding or should I just forget the new front sight and live with the one that I apparently did a little too permanent of a repair on?

You could try warming the area around the dove tail ,To soften up the material,Then tap the front sight out.

Use a heat gun or propane torch and heat it up till it smokes.

After that, the sight will easily come out and you can clean off the epoxy with a wood scraper & some alcohol.

You could try giving it a good soak in some acetone, its about the best epoxy remover out there. Its also explosively flammable so do not use near any source of ignition.

Heat will release it.

Don't use your acetyline torch - use propane as RC recommends and be careful about it.

Have a small soft hammer, like a brass one to tap the sight as the heat builds while you pass the flame over it without holding on it for long. The sight will release all of a sudden and fall on the floor. It'll be hot so don't let it fall on carpet or anything nice or you'll get whupped And don't go pick it up without something to keep you from burning yerself.

Blue LockTite and a setscrew work better - easier to get off too.

I'll probably try the acetone first since I have some and I worry about heat discoloring the bluing.

You don't have to get it hot enough to discolor the bluing.

DO NOT use a propane torch.

Use a hot air gun. Direct open flame heat will cause all sorts of ugliness.

Oil the metal and leave it in a stand up freezer overnight.

Acetone will not dissolve epoxy. If any doubts try nail polish remover, most are acetone based.

Dont do remove the glass if you dont know, it will cost big problem, may this company do it, I think they will replace your glass but dont worry its easy and fast they will work that. vt auto glass

DO NOT HEAT WITH A TORCH. You want to WARM the part with a heat gun as LRI said above. After a few minutes of heat the sight should tap free with alittle effort.
