How do you store your dies?

I have a fairly small roll top style lockable storage cabinet I use. It’s modular so If I need more deep bins, I can remove a couple small one and replace with a larger one.

I only load with a SS and turret press. I keep the universal decapper and VLD expander in holes in the turret. All others go into the origional boxes and those are placed into a Stearalite shoe box along with partial boxes of bullets, trim dies, case gages, dummy rounds, and any other odds and ends/tools I want to keep seperate by round.
This way I just pull the bin off the shelf and have everything in one spot to work out of.

Storing reloading equipment, especially dies can get to be a problem if you load for a large number of different calibers. Which is why when I had my reloading rooms remodeled I had the bench drawers made so that each drawer would hold forty sets of dies in original boxes, label end up so they can be quickly identified and retrieved. All within easy arm's reach of my rolling seat. Custom made speciality dies, such as used for benchrest loading are invidually protected in clear cases and stored in another area. Bushings are in fitted boxes, indexed according to sizes.. diedrawers.JPG IMG-3186-2.jpg IMG-3182-2.jpg

In the original die box, on a shelf over my loading bench. My loading room is in the house and is in a controlled environment.

I do keep a few odd dies in plastic MTM storage boxes. Dies like trim dies, body dies, small base sizer dies, ect.

When I had my Lee turret I kept the "loaded" turrets in a plastic drawer in a nightstand type, plastic cabinet under my bench. It held all 12 turrets I commonly used. Now that I am using a Co-Ax I keep die sets in plastic sandwich containers (approx. 6"x6"x2 1/2") I cut a piece of soft rubber shelving to fit in the bottom, labeled the box, and store them on a shelf above my bench. In each box I have a die set, sometimes 5 dies, a shell holder, bullets for checking flare, and a couple dummies...

I had one of those, but overloaded it and sprung the sides out where it wouldn't hold the drawers in the middle anymore.
Sigh. I tossed it out when we moved last year.

I store all of my dies in the original boxes they came in, and most of the boxes are on a shelf on the back of my loading bench. I do have a half-dozen or so die boxes (with dies) in one of the drawers in a cabinet beside my loading bench - those are the dies I seldom (if ever) use anymore.
My loading bench is in an unheated basement (has been for 42 years) and I've never had a problem. But then again, SE Idaho is not known for high humidity.
