I'm curious what THR users experience in their personal lives.
My wife is an anti--but she's not a Koolaid drinker. She doesn't mind me belonging to the local range, or buying guns or ammo. She would never buy me a gun related product for Christmas or my birthday. She's told me if I get a CCW license and carry in the car that she won't ride with me. I told her that we are going to waste a lot of fuel when we go places, because I'm not going to waiver on that issue. She now doesn't mind the shotgun under the bed. She'll reluctanly try a trigger I've been cleaning up. She doesn't mind if I have a gun sitting out on the kitchen island. I could count on one hand the number of times she's been to a gun store with me. She has tried out firearms before, including a Enfield No.4, and I shoot with her Dad on their farm now and then. Her mom even tried out a SIG. Naturally my wife is also very concerned about the environment, and I told her I could help recycle by reloading!
I think she's getting better, but I doubt she'll ever get to the point where she says "Honey, let's go to the range." It's too bad because she's so competitive--I think she'd really love it. What does your significant other think about your interest in shooting? I've included a poll. What techniques have you used to help win him/her over?
